A flower that seems to be growing in popularity in today's weddings, is the hydrangea. It can be found in an array of colors including blue, purple, white, pink, green, and then dual-shades such as purple/white and pink/white. It has a nice hardy stem that branches off into numerous lovely blossoms that have the overall appearance of a ball of flowers.
A single hydrangea branch can stand in an arrangement all on its own or make an excellent grid for a flower arrangement. This simply means that it is place as the lowest flower of an arrangement, usually at the mouth of the vase or inside a vase and then other taller flowers and greens are added to the arrangement with the hydrangea holding the new additions in place.
Hydrangeas can also be used in sections and added to bouquets, pew arrangements, flower girl headpieces, vase arrangements, and centerpieces. It is a very versatile flower. Its versatility does not necessarily come without a price though. This can be a fairly expensive flower and is usually priced by the stem. They can usually be found in the early spring to late autumn.
