Jello Cake- soooo good!

I cannot claim this yummy cake as mine. I don't even know where the idea originated from! All I know is that it is an awesome and refreshing cake that we have made a family tradition for birthdays. A jello cake is very simply a cake that has been drenched in liquid jello and then topped with a whipped cream frosting that has jelled jello chunks in it.

The most popular cake we eat is a lime jello cake, but my favorite is a raspberry jello cake. Lately, my older sister got very creative and decided to make a two flavored cake! One flavor in the cake and a different flavor for the frosting. My last birthday cake resembled a watermelon with a yummy lime jello frosting and a raspberry jello and white cake inside.

Today was my nephew, Gabriel's, 3rd birthday and my older brother, Brian made his little birthday boy an incredibly delicious jello cake. I believe it was raspberry jello and white cake on the inside and a peach jello frosting. There was a perfect amount of jello on the inside and a perfect amount of peach frosting on top. The flavoring was very well balanced. I wish I would have taken a picture of it to share, but my description and memory and longing for another piece will have to suffice.
